Wild Jasmine Natural Apothecary was created to provide you with quality & effective eco-conscious alternatives to commercial bath & body products.

Inspired by my own various skin sensitivities & reactions to numerous commercially available products, formulating natural body & skincare products began innocently enough in a tiny London flat. Fuelled by a love of research & the eco values instilled from growing up with the forest in British Columbia, examining labels & experimenting in a tiny London flat became an escape from city life. 

At that stage of the journey of life, I was post MSc and living overseas, working in the UK as quite the sustainability keener focusing on the tourism industry & responsible destination management - thus it was only fitting that the lack of recycling of 1 oz glass jam jars at a 5 star Central London hotel would shock and irritate me to no end & lead to incentivising the hotel staff to collect said jars in exchange for samples of body & skin care products created in my tiny kitchen.

Fast forward a few years (and many jars, formulation experiments & product testers) later, the wanderlust & curiosity of discovering local around the world had calmed down & in early 2014, I returned to 'home' to British Columbia, and began this rewarding journey of natural skincare entrepreneurship in Vancouver (the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations).

In line with my passion for local, a farm to skin approach inspires my formulating, thus the line includes handpicked organically grown botanicals & herbs, primarily from my parent's farm in the Kootenays, and beeswax from Fraser Valley farms. And never steering away from my eco values, packaging is either minimal, biodegradable, reusable or recyclable.
